Creamy & Healthy Tofu Dressing
Nutritious Tofu Dressing Recipe
This tofu dressing is packed with protein and pairs wonderfully with fresh vegetables, making it a perfect choice for a satisfying and healthy diet meal. Inspired by a recipe from the ‘Black & White Chef’ channel, it’s easy to make with simple ingredients. It’s versatile and great for salads, sandwiches, and various dishes.
Main Ingredients
- 1/2 block (approx. 150g) soft tofu
- 2 cloves fresh garlic
- 2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp heaping peanut butter (generously filled 1 Tbsp)
- 1/4 Tbsp salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gently drain some of the water from the tofu. Place the half block of tofu in the microwave and heat for about 2 minutes. This helps to remove excess moisture, making it easier to blend into a smooth consistency.
Step 2
Transfer the warm tofu from the microwave into a blender. Adding the tofu first helps to create a smoother base for the dressing.
Step 3
Add the remaining ingredients to the blender along with the tofu. This includes 2 cloves of fresh garlic, 1/4 Tbsp of salt, 2 Tbsp of fresh lemon juice for a zesty kick, 2 Tbsp of sweet honey, 2 Tbsp of rich olive oil, and 2 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds for nutty flavor.
Step 4
Finally, add 1 heaping tablespoon of peanut butter for extra creaminess and depth of flavor. Blend all the ingredients until smooth and well combined. If the dressing is too thick for your liking, you can adjust the consistency by adding a small amount of water or a little more olive oil until it reaches your desired texture.
Step 5
Your delicious and nutritious tofu dressing is ready! Drizzle it over fresh salads, use it as a sandwich spread, or enjoy it with any dish you like.
