Creamy & Refreshing Milk Sorbet
Super Easy Milk Sorbet Recipe: A Sweet Dessert to Cool You Down
Beautiful in appearance and delicious in taste! This milk sorbet offers a refreshing chill while being a healthy dessert option. Perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Milk 200ml
- Syrup 3 Tbsp (sugar syrup or condensed milk)
- Kiwi 1
- Optional: Blueberry compote 1 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, in a bowl, combine 200ml of milk with 3 tablespoons of syrup (adjust the sweetness to your preference). Mix well. Pour this milk mixture into a freezer-safe bag or container and place it in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.
Step 2
Once the milk is completely frozen, take it out of the freezer. While still in the bag or container, use a sturdy wooden rolling pin or the back of a spoon to firmly pound the frozen milk block. This action helps to break down the ice crystals, contributing to a smoother sorbet texture.
Step 3
For an even smoother and quicker sorbet, after lightly breaking up the frozen milk in the bag, transfer it to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Using a blender will result in a finer, more luxurious sorbet consistency.
Step 4
Transfer the pounded frozen milk or the blended sorbet into a serving bowl. If you used a blender, it’s ready to serve. Prepare any fresh fruits you have at home to beautifully garnish the sorbet. Fruits like mangoes, strawberries, or blueberries complement it wonderfully.
Step 5
In my version, I’ve added finely chopped kiwi, a specialty from the New Zealand countryside, on top of the sorbet. A spoonful of blueberry compote adds a beautiful color contrast and an extra layer of flavor! This finished milk sorbet is not only pleasing to the eye and palate but also provides a wonderfully refreshing treat that’s good for your health. Enjoy your delicious homemade sorbet!
