Main Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Chamaenamul (Korean Angelica Tree Leaves)
  • 3 handfuls Chicory (approx. 150g)
  • 1 medium Apple

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Begin by thoroughly washing the chamaenamul and chicory under running water. Be sure to clean the chamaenamul meticulously, as it can hold soil. Wash the apple, remove the core, and thinly slice it into matchsticks.

Step 1

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, gochugaru, and sesame oil. Whisk them together to create the dressing. (For a richer flavor, you can add gochujang and oligodang at this stage).

Step 2

Step 3

Add the prepared chamaenamul and chicory to the bowl with the dressing. If the vegetables are too long, cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 4-5cm) for easier eating.

Step 3

Step 4

Add the julienned apple to the bowl. Gently toss everything together, ensuring the vegetables and apple are evenly coated with the dressing. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the greens mushy.
