- 200g Butter, softened at room temperature
- 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- Pinch of Parsley Flakes
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 Tbsp Honey
- Pinch of Salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the garlic butter sauce. In a bowl, combine the softened butter (200g), minced garlic (2 Tbsp), parsley flakes, olive oil (2 Tbsp), honey (1/2 Tbsp), and a pinch of salt.
Step 2
Mix all the ingredients together with a spoon or spatula until well combined. This is how you make a simple and delicious garlic butter sauce! While a basic version often includes just butter, salt, garlic, and parsley, you can add mayonnaise or condensed milk for a richer flavor, depending on your preference. Today, I’ve added olive oil for a subtle richness and a touch of honey for a hint of sweetness, reminiscent of bakery-style treats. (Note: 1/2 Tbsp of honey provides a mild sweetness.) Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic to your liking!
Step 3
Generously spread the prepared garlic butter sauce onto your baguette slices or bread. Then, place them in an oven or toaster oven and toast for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown and the butter is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Step 4
If you don’t have an oven or toaster oven, a frying pan is a great alternative. Lightly coat a frying pan with oil,
Step 5
then place the bread in the pan over very low heat and toast for about 1 minute per side. Garlic and butter can burn easily, so it’s crucial to use low heat rather than high heat. After lightly oiling the pan, wait about 30 seconds before adding the bread. This allows the oil to distribute evenly, preventing the bread from sticking. Once one side is lightly golden, flip and toast the other side briefly.
Step 6
Your warm and fragrant garlic butter toast is ready to enjoy! Savor the crispy texture and the irresistible aroma of garlic and butter.
