- 1/4 carrot
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Hello everyone! Today, I’m going to share a recipe for ‘Stir-Fried Radish Greens’ that you can make really easily and quickly with seasonal radishes. It’s simple yet tastes so good as a side dish that everyone will love it. Shall we get started right away?
Step 2
First, let’s prepare the radish. Using a knife or a mandoline slicer, cut the radish into thick julienne strips. Cutting them about 0.5cm thick will give them a nice texture and make them even more delicious. We won’t be salting these thick-cut radishes separately; we’ll use them directly. Heat a pan, add 1 tablespoon of perilla oil generously, and stir-fry the thickly julienned radish over medium heat. It’s important to stir-fry until the radish becomes translucent as it releases moisture.
Step 3
Once the radish is somewhat translucent, pour in 100ml of the prepared broth (water or anchovy-kelp broth). Then, add the roughly chopped green onion, julienned carrot, and season with 1 tsp soup soy sauce, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds. Finally, drizzle in another 1 Tbsp of perilla oil and gently stir-fry everything together. Once mixed to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed, cover the pan with a lid and let it steam-cook over low heat for about 5 minutes. This will result in delicious seasoned radish.
Step 4
Ta-da! And just like that, our crispy and delicious stir-fried radish is complete. It’s incredibly easy and simple to make, but the taste is truly exceptional. It’s delicious served over hot rice for a quick meal, and it’s also a nutritious side dish for lunchboxes. Be sure to give it a try!
