Main Ingredients- 200g fresh bean sprouts
- A handful of green onions, chopped
Seasoning- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili powder)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce (jin ganjang)
- 1 Tbsp soup soy sauce (guk ganjang)
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili powder)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce (jin ganjang)
- 1 Tbsp soup soy sauce (guk ganjang)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, rinse the bean sprouts thoroughly under running water, ensuring all dirt and debris are removed. Drain them lightly. (Tip: Placing the bean sprouts in a plastic bag and shaking them can help remove husks for a cleaner preparation.)
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients: minced garlic, cooking oil, and sesame oil.
Step 3
Add the prepared bean sprouts to the bowl with the seasonings. Seal the plastic bag tightly and gently shake to ensure the bean sprouts are evenly coated. This pre-seasoning step helps them absorb flavor as they cook.
Step 4
Heat a pan over high heat. Add the seasoned bean sprouts and stir-fry quickly. Cooking over high heat for a short time is crucial to maintain the bean sprouts’ crisp texture.
Step 5
Once the bean sprouts begin to wilt and release a little moisture, immediately turn off the heat. Overcooking will make them soggy and reduce their pleasant crunch.
Step 6
With the heat off, add the gochugaru, jin ganjang (soy sauce), and guk ganjang (soup soy sauce). Mix quickly. Finally, add the chopped green onions and toss once more to finish. Your delicious stir-fried bean sprouts are ready!
