Transform leftover bread nearing its expiry date into a delicious treat. These bacon-wrapped toast rolls, filled with sweet strawberry jam and savory bacon, are perfect for breakfast or a delightful snack.
Main Ingredients- 8 slices of bread
- 8 slices of bacon
- 4 Tbsp strawberry jam
- 3 eggs
- A little cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, take 2 slices of bread from the 8 slices prepared. Generously spread strawberry jam on one side of each slice. Feel free to adjust the amount of jam to your preference for sweetness.

Place another slice of bread on top of the jam-spread slice to create a sandwich. Then, cut this sandwich in half. This makes it easier to roll later on.

Crack 3 eggs into a wide bowl. Whisk them thoroughly, making sure to break the egg yolks and create a smooth, even consistency. This will form the coating.

Since one slice of bacon might not be enough to wrap the bread, prepare 2 slices of bacon for each bread piece. This ensures a richer bacon flavor in every bite.
