Ingredients

  • 1 bowl of warm cooked rice (approx. 200g)
  • 160g ground beef
  • 140g cleaned bean sprouts
  • 4 fresh eggs
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic (approx. 10g)
  • Pinch of salt (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil (or more as needed)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the bean sprouts thoroughly under running water and drain them well. Finely chop the bean sprouts with a knife. For a pleasant texture, it’s best to chop them into bite-sized pieces rather than making them into a paste.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the finely chopped bean sprouts from step 1, the ground beef, warm cooked rice, 4 fresh eggs, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt to your preference. Use a spatula or your hands to mix all the ingredients together thoroughly, kneading gently. Ensure the rice grains are separated and evenly distributed for the best texture.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and add about 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Spoon portions of the batter onto the hot pan, forming them into small, flat, round pancakes. Gently press down on the batter with the back of the spoon to shape them. Cook until one side is golden brown and crispy, then carefully flip and cook the other side until it’s also beautifully golden. Adjust the heat as needed to ensure the pancakes are cooked through without burning.
