Crispy Bean Sprouts and Savory Bacon Stir-Fry
The Perfect Combination: How to Make Delicious Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts with Bacon
Let’s make a delicious stir-fried bean sprout and bacon dish that pairs exceptionally well with bacon. It’s a simple and satisfying meal!
Ingredients- 200g fresh bean sprouts
- 4 slices bacon
- 1/4 onion
- 1/5 carrot
- 10g scallions (green onions)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and stir-fry until the garlic is fragrant and the onion becomes translucent. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
Step 2
Once the onion starts to turn transparent, add the bacon, cut into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm), and stir-fry together. The fat from the bacon will add flavor. Cook until the bacon is golden brown and slightly crispy around the edges.
Step 3
When the bacon is nicely cooked, add the washed and drained bean sprouts and the julienned carrots to the pan. Stir-fry over high heat quickly to maintain the crispiness of the bean sprouts. Stir everything together for about 1-2 minutes.
Step 4
Once the bean sprouts and carrots are slightly softened, add the oyster sauce (2 Tbsp) for a savory flavor and black pepper (1 tsp) to enhance the aroma. Stir-fry until all ingredients are evenly coated with the sauce. Adding oyster sauce around the edges of the pan can help it cook better.
Step 5
Finally, add the chopped scallions and stir-fry just until their fragrance is released. Avoid overcooking the scallions, as they can become mushy. It’s best to add them right before the dish is completely finished.
Step 6
There you have it – a delicious stir-fried bean sprouts and bacon! Plate it attractively, sprinkle with sesame seeds for a nutty finish, and enjoy this perfect dish as a side or a simple appetizer. Enjoy your meal!
