Baek Jong-won Style Pork Belly and Bean Sprout Stir-Fry: Simple and Delicious Pork and Soy Sauce Seasoned Side Dish Recipe
Let’s make a delicious stir-fry with crunchy bean sprouts and thinly sliced pork belly. It’s a perfect dish to enjoy with rice!
Main Ingredients- 150g Pork Belly (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 bag Bean Sprouts (approx. 150-200g, washed and drained)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Hello everyone! Today, I’ll be sharing a fantastic ‘Pork Belly and Bean Sprout Stir-Fry’ recipe, inspired by Chef Baek Jong-won’s tips, which is quick, easy, and loved by all. You can create a wonderful side dish with simple ingredients.
Step 2
First, heat 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic (or sliced garlic) and gently sauté until fragrant, creating a delicious garlic-infused oil. Be careful not to burn the garlic; once it turns golden, add the thinly sliced pork belly. Increase the heat to high and stir-fry until the pork belly releases its flavorful fat and becomes nicely browned.
Step 3
Once the pork belly is partially cooked and has rendered some fat, add the sliced onion and chili pepper (if using). Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the vegetables become slightly translucent. Then, add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well and stir-fry quickly to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated with the sauce. Watch the heat to prevent the sauce from burning.
Step 4
Finally, add the thoroughly washed and drained bean sprouts to the pan. Stir-fry over high heat for about 1 minute, just enough to lightly cook them while maintaining their crisp texture. The key is not to overcook the bean sprouts; cooking them too long will make them watery and limp, so aim for a satisfying crunch.
Step 5
And there you have it – a delicious ‘Pork Belly and Bean Sprout Stir-Fry’ with fantastic flavor and texture! For an extra touch, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top just before serving. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add a tiny bit of sugar (about 1/2 teaspoon) to enhance the savory notes. Enjoy this delightful dish with a bowl of warm rice!
