Crispy Bibim Naengmyeon Mandu
Making Crispy Bibim Naengmyeon Mandu with Nongshim Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon
A unique snack that combines the tangy, sweet, and chewy texture of bibim naengmyeon with delightful crispiness. We’ve made Bibim Naengmyeon Mandu using Nongshim’s Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon, offering a fantastic snack experience.
Ingredients- 1 pack Nongshim Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon (includes noodles, sauce, and dried garnish)
- 10 dumpling wrappers
- Shredded cheese (optional, to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, bring 800ml of water to a rolling boil in a pot. Once boiling, add the noodles and the dried garnish packet from the Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon. Cook for approximately 2 minutes until the noodles are just cooked through. Drain immediately.
Step 2
Rinse the cooked noodles thoroughly under cold running water. This step is crucial for achieving a chewy texture. After rinsing, place the noodles in a colander to drain any excess water completely.
Step 3
Transfer the drained noodles to a bowl. Add the entire packet of bibim naengmyeon sauce that came with the noodles. Mix well with chopsticks or hands until the sauce is evenly distributed, coating every strand of noodle.
Step 4
Using kitchen scissors, finely chop the seasoned bibim naengmyeon. Chop it into bite-sized pieces that will be easy to use as a filling for the dumplings. Avoid leaving long strands.
Step 5
Now, it’s time to assemble the dumplings. Place a generous amount of the chopped bibim naengmyeon mixture onto the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then carefully pleat and seal to form your desired dumpling shape.
Step 6
For an extra layer of flavor and texture, you can add shredded cheese on top of the bibim naengmyeon filling before sealing the dumpling. This is completely optional but highly recommended.
Step 7
Using one pack of Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon, we were able to make a total of 10 dumplings. The exact number may vary depending on the size of your dumpling wrappers.
Step 8
Heat a moderate amount of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Once the pan is warm, carefully place the assembled dumplings onto the surface. Pan-fry them, turning occasionally, until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Be mindful of the heat to prevent burning.
Step 9
Once beautifully golden and crispy on both sides, your Bibim Naengmyeon Mandu is ready to be enjoyed! Serve them warm for the best delightful crispy and tangy-sweet experience.
