First, prepare one slice of cheese. Using a knife, scissors, or a pizza cutter, cut the cheese into approximately 20 small pieces. Try to make them roughly the same size. If they are too small, they might burn, so aim for a manageable bite-size.

Line a baking sheet or microwave-safe plate with parchment paper or baking paper. Arrange the cut cheese pieces on the parchment paper, making sure to leave some space between each piece so they don’t stick together when they melt and spread.

Microwave on high for about 1 minute. The exact time may vary depending on your microwave’s wattage. Watch for the cheese to puff up and turn golden brown. If it’s not quite done after 1 minute, continue microwaving in 10-20 second increments until it reaches your desired crispiness.
