Crispy & Chewy Chickpea Snacks: A Healthy Treat
Healthy Diet Snack: Homemade Chickpea Crisps | Chickpea Recipe Ideas
Introducing my go-to healthy snack for when I’m on a diet: delicious chickpea crisps! They have a subtle ginkgo nut flavor and an incredibly addictive texture that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You’ll find yourself reaching for them constantly!
Main Ingredients- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your cooked chickpeas. (If you’re cooking them from scratch, please refer to recipe @7001718 for instructions on how to boil them perfectly.)
Step 2
Place the 1 cup of cooked chickpeas into a clean plastic bag. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. The olive oil will coat the chickpeas, helping them achieve a wonderfully crispy texture.
Step 3
Next, add 0.3 tablespoons of salt for seasoning. Feel free to adjust the amount of salt to your personal preference.
Step 4
Securely hold the opening of the plastic bag and gently shake it. This ensures that the chickpeas are evenly coated with the olive oil and salt, and prevents them from clumping together.
Step 5
Spread the coated chickpeas in a single layer in your air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes for the first round of cooking.
Step 6
After the first cooking cycle, gently shake the air fryer basket to redistribute the chickpeas. This ensures even crisping on all sides. Cook for another 5 minutes at 180°C (350°F) for the second round.
Step 7
Once the second cooking is complete and the snacks have cooled slightly, you’ll have delicious, savory chickpea crisps that are perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully tender on the inside! Enjoy this healthy and satisfying snack.
