- 1/3 tsp Salt (approx. 1-2g)
- Dried parsley flakes, to taste (for color and flavor boost!)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your baguette or bread for the garlic bread. If using a baguette, slice it into about 2cm thick pieces. If using sliced bread, you can use them as they are. For baguettes, you can slice them in half lengthwise or into 4 pieces to allow the sauce to soak in better.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the softened butter (make sure it’s soft like room temperature butter), granulated sugar, salt, corn syrup, minced garlic, and dried parsley flakes. Use a spatula or spoon to mix everything thoroughly until well combined and there are no lumps. Ensure the butter is truly at room temperature; if it’s too cold, it will be difficult to mix.
Step 3
Using a spoon or a knife, spread the prepared garlic butter sauce evenly and generously over the top of each bread slice. Make sure to spread it all the way to the edges of the bread for maximum flavor and crispiness when baked.
Step 4
Place the coated bread onto a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 15 minutes. Baking times can vary depending on your oven, so keep an eye on the bread’s color. Bake until it’s beautifully golden brown. Your delicious garlic bread is almost ready!
Step 5
If after 15 minutes the bread isn’t as golden as you’d like, add an extra 3-5 minutes to the baking time. Watch carefully to prevent burning. Continue baking until the edges are crispy and the surface is a lovely golden brown. It’s best enjoyed warm when the outside is perfectly crisp and the inside is soft and flavorful!
