Ingredients

  • 15 sheets of rice paper
  • 2-3 eggs (depending on size)
  • 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Cooking Instructions

It’s best to have all your ingredients at room temperature before you start. (I forgot this and had to briefly microwave the butter!) First, prepare 1 Tbsp of softened butter and 1/2 Tbsp of baking powder.

Next, add 3 Tbsp of milk and 3 Tbsp of sugar to the butter mixture and whisk until well combined.

Whisk in 2 to 3 eggs, depending on their size. Use 2 eggs if they are large, and 3 if they are medium or small.

If your eggs were cold, the butter might clump. If this happens, gently re-melt the butter mixture. (This step can be skipped if you remembered to bring your ingredients to room temperature beforehand.)

Pour the egg mixture into a shallow dish. Dip 5 sheets of rice paper into the mixture, one by one, ensuring both sides are coated. Carefully lift them out and stack them neatly. Be gentle to prevent them from sticking together.

Using scissors, cut the stacked rice paper into 3 equal sections.

Take one of the cut sections and fold one side of it over to the middle piece.

Then, fold the opposite side underneath, creating a layered shape.

Roll up the layered rice paper to form a croissant shape. Repeat this process with the remaining rice paper sheets.

Carefully transfer the formed rice paper croissants into your air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket.
