  • 1 Pinch Ginger Juice (or a tiny amount of minced ginger)
  • 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Tbsp Plum Extract (Maesilcheong)
  • 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

First, wash and prepare the cucumbers and radish. The key to a delicious dish lies in fresh ingredients!

Peel the radish, wash it, and then thinly julienne it. For the cucumbers, trim off both ends, cut them into three equal sections, and then use a spoon to scoop out and discard the inner seed part. After removing the seeds, julienne the cucumber into strips similar in thickness to the radish. Removing the seeds prevents excess moisture and enhances the crispness.

In a bowl, combine the julienned radish and cucumber. Add 1 Tbsp of salt and 3 Tbsp of corn syrup, and gently toss to coat. Allowing the vegetables to marinate like this helps them soften slightly, release excess moisture, and absorb the flavors, resulting in a more delicious salad. Let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes.
