Ingredients- Dried Tofu (or Pressed Tofu) – appropriate amount
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper – 1 tsp
- Olive Oil – 1 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your dried tofu or pressed tofu. Rinse it briefly under running water to remove any impurities, then cut it into bite-sized pieces. Avoid cutting them too thinly, as they might crumble. Aim for a moderate thickness.
Step 2
Place the prepared dried tofu in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well to coat the tofu evenly with the seasoning. Gently toss the tofu to ensure the seasoning is distributed thoroughly.
Step 3
Arrange the seasoned dried tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring the pieces do not overlap. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, carefully remove the basket, give it a good shake to flip the tofu pieces, and then air fry for another 2 minutes. This will make them extra crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning and adjust the time as needed.
Step 4
These dried tofu chips are delicious on their own with their savory taste. However, pairing them with various dipping sauces can elevate the experience. Recommended sauces include: sweet honey (evokes the feeling of dipping crispy pizza crust into honey – my personal favorite!), spicy options like Sriracha or mustard, or even a tangy ketchup. Enjoy them in your preferred way!
