Ingredients- 4 medium potatoes
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder (optional)
- 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s make some irresistible baked potato wedges today, perfect as a snack or a delightful accompaniment to your favorite beverage. These are incredibly satisfying and easy to prepare!
Step 2
To get started, wash the potatoes thoroughly, as we’ll be keeping the skins on for extra flavor and texture. Cut each potato into wedge shapes, about 1.5 to 2 cm thick. Once cut, soak the potato wedges in cold water for at least 20 minutes. This crucial step removes excess starch, ensuring a crispier finish.
Step 3
After soaking, drain the potato wedges very well and pat them dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. In a large bowl, combine the dried potato wedges with olive oil, salt, sugar, optional chicken stock powder, and dried parsley flakes. Toss everything together gently with your hands, making sure each wedge is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture. The sugar enhances the potato’s natural sweetness, while the parsley adds a lovely aroma.
Step 4
Now, let’s air fry these beauties! Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer in your air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding for even cooking. Set your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and cook for 30 minutes. About halfway through, at the 15-minute mark, carefully pull out the basket and flip the wedges to ensure they brown evenly on all sides. Continue air frying for the remaining 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Step 5
And there you have it – perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy on the inside potato wedges! They are delicious served hot and also stay wonderfully crisp even when cooled. Enjoy them on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce!
