Main Ingredients

  • 6 Marshmallows (approx. 60g)
  • 100g Special K Cereal (or your favorite cereal)

Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp Butter (approx. 2.5g)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, place a non-stick pan over medium heat and melt the 1/2 tsp of butter. Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows. Stir gently with a spatula until the marshmallows melt into a sticky, gooey consistency. It’s important to melt them over low heat to prevent burning.

Step 1

Step 2

When the marshmallows are almost completely melted and sticky, add the 100g of Special K cereal. Quickly stir to coat every piece of cereal with the marshmallow mixture. The key is to mix rapidly so the cereal is evenly coated. Keep the heat on medium-low.

Step 3

As soon as the cereal is coated, remove the pan from the heat. While still warm, shape the mixture into your desired form. If you’re using larger cereals like Special K, you don’t need to perfectly coat every single piece in the pan; a good coating on about half the cereal is sufficient. For easier handling, transfer the mixture to a bowl and use your hands (wearing disposable gloves is recommended) to quickly form them. Shape them into rounds while warm and let them cool. They will firm up as they cool, resulting in chewy and crispy marshmallow cereal bars. Enjoy your homemade treat!
