Crispy & Moist Sweet Potato Air Fryer Recipe
Perfectly Crispy Outside, Tender Inside Sweet Potatoes: The Ultimate Air Fryer Timing Guide
Sweet potatoes are a beloved seasonal treat! Learn how to make them perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully moist on the inside using your air fryer. This recipe is so easy, anyone can make it for a delicious snack or a filling meal replacement!
Main Ingredients- 3 medium-sized sweet potatoes
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly peel the sweet potatoes using a peeler. If they are dirty, wash them well under running water before peeling.
Step 2
Once peeled, cut the sweet potatoes into uniform pieces, about 1.5 cm to 2 cm thick. Cutting them too thin might cause them to burn, while pieces that are too thick may take longer to cook through. Ensuring consistent thickness is key!
Step 3
Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper. Arrange the cut sweet potato pieces in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap. This allows hot air to circulate evenly, resulting in a crispier texture. Place them in a preheated air fryer set to 180°C (350°F) and cook for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, flip the pieces and cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 4
Please note that air fryer models can vary in performance. After the initial cooking time, check the doneness of the sweet potatoes. You may need to add an additional 5 to 10 minutes to the cooking time, depending on your desired level of crispiness and tenderness. They are ready when they are golden brown on the outside and soft and moist on the inside!
