Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried rice shrimp
  • 15 almonds

Seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the almonds. Place the almonds in a zip-top bag or a clean plastic bag. Gently crush them using a rolling pin or the bottom of a cup. It’s best to crush them coarsely to retain some texture, rather than turning them into fine powder.

Step 1

Step 2

Now, let’s prepare the dried rice shrimp. Use a sieve to lightly shake off any crumbs or dust from the rice shrimp. Place the prepared rice shrimp into a frying pan, and add the crushed almonds as well.

Step 2

Step 3

Before turning on the heat, add the seasoning. Drizzle 1 Tbsp of soy sauce around the edges of the pan, then quickly mix everything together to ensure the seasoning coats the rice shrimp and almonds evenly. Doing this prevents the soy sauce from burning and helps distribute the flavor throughout the ingredients.

Step 3

Step 4

Add a moderate amount of canola oil to the frying pan and begin stir-frying over low heat. Be careful not to burn the rice shrimp. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the almonds and rice shrimp turn lightly golden brown. Frying over low heat helps maintain the crispiness of the rice shrimp.

Step 4

Step 5

After turning off the heat, drizzle 1 Tbsp of oligosaccharide to add a final touch of sweetness and gloss. Gently stir to coat the ingredients with the oligosaccharide using the residual heat – and it’s done! Transfer the finished stir-fried rice shrimp with almonds to a nice serving dish and enjoy.
