Decadent & Creamy Toowoomba Ramen
The Ultimate Ramen Recipe! Truly Delicious Toowoomba Ramen!
Rich, creamy, and incredibly savory! This Toowoomba ramen is a delightful fusion of Korean ramen and a rich, cheesy sauce.
Key Ingredients- 1 packet of ramen (choose your favorite kind)
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 8 shrimp, peeled and deveined, rinsed
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the aromatics that will add depth to your Toowoomba ramen. Thinly slice the onion and thinly slice the garlic for a fragrant base.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook for just about 2 to 2.5 minutes until they are al dente (slightly firm). They will continue to cook in the sauce, so avoid overcooking them at this stage!
Step 3
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a splash of cooking oil. Sauté the sliced garlic until fragrant and lightly golden. Then, add the sliced onions and the prepared shrimp. Stir-fry until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked through.
Step 4
Pour in the 300ml of milk and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Stir until the butter is melted and incorporated into the milk, creating a creamy base. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Add the ramen soup base packet and stir well to combine. Adjust the seasoning to your preference; you might not need the entire packet depending on the ramen brand.
Step 5
Once the sauce is simmering, add the 2 slices of cheddar cheese. Stir gently until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce becomes thick and glossy. Add the partially cooked ramen noodles to the pan. Stir everything together and let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened further and coats the noodles beautifully. Your rich and creamy Toowoomba ramen is now ready to be enjoyed!
