Main Ingredients
  • 2 bowls cooked rice
  • 1 small onion
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1 handful mozzarella cheese

Seasoning & Others
  • 6 Tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • A pinch of parsley flakes
  • A little cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, finely chop the onion and cut the bacon into bite-sized pieces. Feel free to adjust the amount of onion and bacon to your liking. You can also add colorful vegetables like bell peppers for extra flavor and visual appeal.

Step 2

Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cut bacon, and sauté until the onions become translucent and the bacon releases its fat, developing a delicious aroma.

Step 3

Once the ingredients are nicely sautéed, add the 2 bowls of cooked rice to the pan. Use a spatula to break up the rice grains and stir-fry them with the other ingredients until well combined. This step ensures that the flavor of the ingredients is thoroughly infused into each grain of rice.

Step 4

Now it’s time to add the star ingredient for flavor: tomato sauce. You can start with 3 tablespoons and add another 3 for a total of 6 tablespoons if you prefer a richer taste. Stir-fry over medium-low heat until the sauce is well incorporated with the rice and the color is vibrant. Be careful not to let it stick to the bottom of the pan.

Step 5

After the rice and tomato sauce are well combined, transfer the mixture to an oven-safe or microwave-safe dish. Sprinkle a generous handful of mozzarella cheese on top for a creamy, cheesy finish.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 5 minutes, or microwave until the cheese is fully melted. Baking in the oven can give it a slightly golden, appetizing crust. The key is to melt the cheese thoroughly, so adjust the time according to your appliance.

Step 7
