How to Make Flavorful Corn and Vegetable Cheese at Home
A delightful combination of savory vegetables, popping corn kernels, and stretchy cheese! Make this corn and vegetable cheese dish easily at home, perfect as a side dish or a tasty snack. Its rich, cheesy flavor will surely win everyone over.
Main Ingredients- 1/4 medium Cabbage
- 1 medium Onion
- 1/5 Carrot
- 150g canned Corn (drained)
- 1/5 Sausage (approx. 30g)
- 2 Quail eggs
- 100g Mozzarella cheese
- 3 slices Processed cheese
Batter & Seasoning- 4 Tbsp All-purpose flour or Pancake mix
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Finely shred the cabbage. Dice the onion and carrot into approximately 1cm pieces. Mince the garlic. Keep all prepared vegetables together for easy stir-frying.

Slice the sausage into small pieces. If using raw quail eggs, boil them until cooked and peel. Using pre-boiled quail eggs can save you time.

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, diced onion, carrot, and minced garlic. Lightly season with salt to enhance the natural sweetness of the vegetables and add umami.

Add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour or pancake mix to the vegetables and mix well to coat. This helps the ingredients bind together like a pancake. (You can add more flour, up to 4 tablespoons total, if needed for a firmer batter). Mix thoroughly so the flour coats everything evenly.

Melt the butter in a preheated pan over medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted, add the vegetable mixture and spread it thinly and evenly across the pan.

Once one side of the vegetable mixture is lightly golden brown, carefully flip it over and cook the other side. After both sides are partially cooked, sprinkle the drained corn and sliced sausage evenly over the vegetables.

Now it’s time for the cheese! Generously cover the mixture with mozzarella cheese. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and let it cook until the cheese is completely melted and gooey. The melting cheese will bind all the ingredients together beautifully.

Arrange the prepared quail eggs, halved, on top for a decorative touch. If you don’t have enough mozzarella cheese, you can add the sliced processed cheese slices around the dish for extra cheesiness.
