- 200g Duck meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
Black Bean Sauce Seasoning- 3 Tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cooking wine (or Mirin)
- 0.5 Tbsp Minced garlic (approx. 1/2 tsp)
- 1 Tbsp Chinese black bean sauce powder (instant type)
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper (approx. 1/4 tsp)
- 3 Tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cooking wine (or Mirin)
- 0.5 Tbsp Minced garlic (approx. 1/2 tsp)
- 1 Tbsp Chinese black bean sauce powder (instant type)
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper (approx. 1/4 tsp)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables. Thinly slice the 1/4 onion and cut the 1/2 scallion diagonally to add color and aroma to the dish.
Step 2
If your duck meat is in a larger piece, cut it into bite-sized pieces. This makes it easier for everyone, especially children, to eat and helps the sauce penetrate better.
Step 3
Now, let’s make the delicious black bean sauce. In a large bowl, combine 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp sugar, and 1 Tbsp cooking wine (or Mirin). Whisk them together well. This step helps to remove any gamey odor from the duck and enhances the overall flavor.
Step 4
Next, add 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp Chinese black bean sauce powder, and 0.5 tsp black pepper to the bowl. Stir thoroughly to ensure the sauce powder is dissolved and there are no lumps. Feel free to adjust the amount of black bean sauce powder according to your taste preferences.
Step 5
Add the prepared duck meat, sliced onion, and diagonally sliced scallions to the bowl with the sauce. Gently mix everything with your hands, ensuring the duck is evenly coated with the seasoning. Letting it marinate for a short while will allow the flavors to meld even more deeply.
