Main Ingredients- 2 slices of sliced ham

- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s begin making a simple and delicious egg toast, perfect for breakfast.
Step 2
Here are the ingredients you’ll need: 2 slices of sliced ham, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 4 slices of bread, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of butter, a pinch of herb salt, and a pinch of dried parsley. If you don’t have herb salt, regular salt is a fine substitute.
Step 3
First, take one slice of bread. Using a round bowl or cup, gently press down to create a circular opening in the center of the bread. Be careful not to tear the bread.
Step 4
Once you have this nice round shape cut out of the bread, we’ll move on to the next step.
Step 5
Prepare the butter. Briefly microwave the butter, just enough to soften it without fully melting it – you want it spreadable. Then, spread this softened butter thinly on one side of another slice of bread. The butter will infuse the bread with a wonderful flavor.
Step 6
On the buttered side of the bread, layer one slice of ham and then one slice of cheddar cheese. The cheese will melt as it cooks, enhancing the flavor.
Step 7
Now, take the other slice of bread (the one with the hole cut out) and place it on top of the bread with the ham and cheese. Make sure the hole faces upwards.
Step 8
This is the crucial part! Very carefully, crack one egg into the circular opening you created, making sure not to break the yolk. Gently place the egg into the hole.
Step 9
After adding the egg, sprinkle a little herb salt over it. If herb salt is unavailable, a tiny pinch of regular salt will work. Finally, add a sprinkle of dried parsley for a touch of color and aroma.
Step 10
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Place the prepared toast in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. The bread should turn golden brown, and the egg will be cooked to a soft consistency.
Step 11
If you prefer a crispier toast, you can extend the baking time to 20 minutes. However, I personally like it when the bread isn’t too crunchy, so I baked it for about 15 minutes. Feel free to adjust the time to your preference. Your delicious egg toast is ready to enjoy!
