Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the pork ribs. Lay them flat and make several shallow cuts with a knife. This helps the marinade penetrate deeply and makes the meat more tender.
Step 2
Gently rinse the ribs under cold running water to remove any bone fragments or impurities. Then, soak the ribs in cold water for about 5 minutes to draw out the blood. Drain and repeat the soaking process for another 5 minutes. Soaking for a total of 10 minutes helps reduce any gamey taste, resulting in a cleaner flavor.
Step 3
Prepare all the marinade ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, pear juice, cider, rice wine, minced garlic, and sugar. Whisk or stir well until slightly thickened to create the marinade. The pear juice and cider will help tenderize the meat and enhance its flavor.
Step 4
Place the drained pork ribs in an airtight container or a large bowl. Pour all the prepared marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover tightly with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight. This allows the flavors to meld deeply for the most delicious results. At home, cook over medium-low heat in a pan until golden brown on both sides. For outdoor adventures, grilling over charcoal creates an excellent BBQ experience. (Optional: Add onions, green onions, or mushrooms to grill alongside the ribs for extra flavor.)
