Step 1

Today, we’re going to make delicious Spam Kimchi Fried Rice at home. It’s simple but guaranteed to be a hit, perfect for a hearty meal any time!

Step 2

First, heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the chopped green onions and stir-fry until fragrant, creating a flavorful green onion oil. This step really enhances the overall taste.

Once the green onions are fragrant, push them to one side of the pan. Add the chopped kimchi to the empty space and sprinkle with 1 Tbsp of gochugaru. Stir-fry the kimchi until it’s well coated with the green onion oil and chili flakes, appearing glossy. Next, add the diced Spam and stir-fry everything together until well combined.

Step 4

Now, push the fried kimchi and Spam mixture to one side of the pan. Pour 1 Tbsp of soy sauce into the empty space. Let the soy sauce bubble and start to caramelize and slightly stick to the bottom of the pan. Once it’s sizzling and forming a nice fond, quickly mix it back in with the kimchi and Spam, stirring and frying everything together. This adds a deep, savory flavor.
