Main Ingredients
  • 300g duck breast
  • 1 medium potato for mashed potatoes
  • 5ml mayonnaise (approx. 1 tsp)
  • 1/2 fresh orange
  • 5 sprigs of fresh sprouts

Sauce & Seasoning
  • 1.5 tsp orange sauce
  • 1.0 tsp teriyaki sauce

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Divide the 300g duck breast into two pieces. Heat a pan over medium heat, place the duck breasts in the pan, and sear each side, flipping twice, until golden brown and beautifully cooked. The key is to achieve a crispy exterior and a moist interior.

Step 2

Prepare the sauce by juicing half an orange. In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice and teriyaki sauce in a 2:1 ratio. Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together. This creates a delicious, glossy orange sauce.

Step 3

While the duck is cooking, prepare any simple vegetables you’d like to serve alongside (e.g., asparagus, mushrooms). Pan-fry these vegetables in the same pan used for the duck, allowing them to absorb some of the flavorful duck drippings.

Step 4

To plate, arrange the cooked duck breast steak and the sautéed vegetables beautifully on a warm plate. Garnish with the fresh sprouts. Finally, drizzle the prepared orange sauce over the duck breast. Your delicious and refreshing duck breast steak is ready to be enjoyed!
