Essential Ingredients- 3 slices of bread (thicker bread works best!)
- 2 Tbsp butter (for richness)
- 1/2 cup sugar (adjust sweetness to your preference)
- 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon (the key to that sweet aroma!)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Trim the crusts off the bread slices using a knife. Then, cut the bread into strips about 1.5 cm thick and of a suitable length for eating. Cutting them into long strips will make them easy to skewer or hold while baking.
Step 2
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a lightly heated pan over medium-low heat. Once the butter is fully melted, place the cut bread strips in the pan. Grill them, flipping occasionally, until they turn a golden brown color. Be careful to control the heat so the butter doesn’t burn.
Step 3
In a clean bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Mix them thoroughly with a fork or spoon until well combined. This creates your sweet cinnamon sugar coating. Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar to suit your taste.
Step 4
While the bread is still warm from the pan, immediately dip the golden-brown slices into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Roll them around to coat evenly on all sides. Gently press them to ensure the sugar adheres well. Enjoy these delicious bread churros immediately while they are warm for the best crispy exterior and soft interior texture. Enjoy your treat!
