Ingredients
  • 3 cups rice (white or brown)
  • 400g konjac rice

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, place the konjac rice in a sieve. Discard the water from the package and rinse it lightly under running water. This crucial step significantly reduces any potential odor from the konjac.

Step 2

Wash your regular rice as you normally would. Then, add water according to the amount of rice you’re using. If you’re cooking 3 cups of mixed grains, fill the water to the corresponding line inside your measuring cup.

Step 3

Gently tap the sieve to remove excess water from the konjac rice. Add it to the rice cooker along with the rice, and start the cooking cycle using the ‘mixed grains’ or ‘multi-grain’ setting for the best results.

Step 4

Once the cooking cycle is complete and the cooker beeps, carefully open the lid. You might notice the konjac rice grains clustered at the top or appearing a bit dry and separated, but this is perfectly normal. Don’t be alarmed!

Step 5
