Main Ingredients- 1 cup broccoli florets (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 cup cooked mussels (drained)
- 1/4 onion (thinly sliced)
- 5 king oyster mushrooms (sliced)
Seasoning & Aromatics- 2 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- Olive oil, as needed
- A little fresh scallion (chopped)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Pinch of black pepper
- 2 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- Olive oil, as needed
- A little fresh scallion (chopped)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by washing the broccoli thoroughly. Cut it into small, bite-sized florets. Smaller pieces will cook more evenly and quickly.
Step 2
Slice the king oyster mushrooms to about 0.5 cm thickness, and thinly slice the onion. Cutting them to similar sizes will ensure they cook uniformly.
Step 3
Heat a wok or a large skillet over medium heat. Add a generous amount of olive oil. Add the sliced mushrooms and onions and stir-fry until they become translucent and slightly softened, releasing their aromas.
Step 4
Once the vegetables are coated in oil and begin to soften, add the broccoli florets. Continue to stir-fry until the broccoli turns bright green and is tender-crisp. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become mushy.
Step 5
When the broccoli is almost done, add the drained cooked mussels to the wok. Stir-fry briefly, just until the mussels are heated through. Now, add the sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, and a pinch of black pepper. Toss everything together gently to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated with the sauce. Keep the heat moderate to prevent the sauce from burning.
Step 6
Once everything is beautifully combined and heated through, transfer the stir-fry to a serving plate. Garnish with the chopped scallions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for a final touch of freshness and nutty flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Broccoli and Mussel Stir-Fry!
