First, wash the mangoes thoroughly. You can use a bit of baking soda mixed with water or just rinse them well under running water. After cleaning, pat them dry. Now, take your sharp knife. Position the mango so it’s stable, and carefully slice lengthwise along the flat side of the seed, getting as close to the seed as possible. You want to divide the mango into two fleshy halves, avoiding cutting into the seed itself.

If you’d like to create beautiful cubes, let’s work on one of the mango halves. Keeping the skin intact, make vertical slices into the flesh, stopping just before you reach the skin.
