Main Ingredients- 5 large eggs
- 2 slices of cheese
- 5 slices of ham
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 3 cherry tomatoes
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s perfectly hard-boil the eggs. In a pot, add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of vinegar to water. Once the water comes to a boil, carefully add the eggs and boil for about 12 minutes. (Using an egg boiler can make this step more convenient.) Immediately transfer the boiled eggs to cold water to cool, then gently peel them. Slice each egg in half vertically.
Step 2
Wash the cherry tomatoes, then slice them thinly and cut each slice in half to make them bite-sized. Cut each slice of cheese into four pieces.
Step 3
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Cut the lettuce leaves to match the size of the halved eggs. This will make the burgers look neat and cohesive.
Step 4
Now, let’s assemble the egg burgers! Place one half of a hard-boiled egg as the base. Spread a little mayonnaise on top. Next, layer the cut lettuce, sliced cherry tomatoes, the quartered cheese slices, and a slice of ham. Place the other half of the hard-boiled egg on top, and finish with a small drizzle of sriracha sauce. To hold everything together, insert a skewer through the layers. (Tip: Avoid using too much mayonnaise or sriracha sauce, as they can cause the burger to slide apart. Use them sparingly.)
