Easy and Quick Crab Stick and Egg Stir-fry
Ready in just 5 minutes with simple ingredients from your fridge! This recipe features the delightful combination of tender crab stick and soft scrambled eggs. It’s perfect as a side dish for kids or even as a light snack.
Main Ingredients- 1 pack Crab sticks (imitation crab meat)
- 3 Eggs
- 1/4 Scallion (green onion)
- 3 Tbsp Milk
- Pinch of Salt
- Canola oil or cooking oil, as needed
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gently shred the crab sticks lengthwise along the grain. Finely chop the scallions to add a fresh aroma.
Step 2
Crack the 3 eggs into a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of milk to ensure a tender texture and remove any potential fishy odor, along with 2 pinches of salt to enhance the flavor.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs thoroughly with a fork or whisk until the yolks and whites are completely combined and the mixture is a uniform pale yellow. Ensure there are no streaks of egg white remaining.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add a generous amount of canola oil. Sauté the chopped scallions until fragrant. This process infuses the oil with a delicious aroma, elevating the dish’s overall flavor.
Step 5
Once the scallions are fragrant, add the shredded crab sticks to the pan and stir-fry them briefly with the scallions. Just let them combine and warm through.
Step 6
Push the crab stick and scallion mixture to one side of the pan. Add a little more oil to the empty side. Pour in the beaten egg mixture. Using a chopstick or spatula, gently stir and scramble the eggs until they are softly set but still moist. Avoid overcooking for the best fluffy texture.
Step 7
Finally, combine the scrambled eggs with the crab stick and scallion mixture in the pan. Stir-fry everything together for a final quick toss. Your delicious crab stick and egg stir-fry is ready! Serve it over warm rice for a simple donburi or enjoy it as a standalone side dish.
