Main Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 25g Zucchini
  • 25g Onion
  • 5g Carrot

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, carefully prepare all the ingredients for your vegetable egg custard. It’s crucial to finely mince the zucchini, onion, and carrot so they are easy for your baby to eat. Remove any seeds or tough parts before using.

Step 1

Step 2

In a bowl, crack 1 fresh egg and whisk it gently without creating too much foam. Add the finely minced zucchini, onion, and carrot to the bowl, and stir well to combine the egg mixture and vegetables evenly.

Step 2

Step 3

Prepare a microwave-safe bowl of an appropriate size. Drizzle 0.5 Tbsp of baby-friendly sesame oil onto the inner bottom of the bowl. Gently swirl the bowl to spread the sesame oil thinly and evenly across the entire bottom surface. This step helps prevent the egg custard from sticking to the bowl.

Step 3

Step 4

Carefully pour the prepared vegetable egg mixture into the greased bowl. Then, add 100ml of water and stir again gently with a spoon or fork to ensure the egg mixture and water are well incorporated.

Step 4

Step 5

Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. It’s best to seal the edges securely to prevent the wrap from becoming loose. To avoid the wrap puffing up and to ensure even cooking, poke several small holes in the surface of the plastic wrap with a fork, spaced out. Be careful not to make the holes too large.

Step 5

Step 6

Place the prepared bowl in the microwave and cook for approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on your microwave’s wattage, so check the consistency of the egg custard and adjust the time as needed. Your moist and tender vegetable egg custard is ready! Let it cool slightly before serving to your baby.
