Easy Garlic Herb Roast with Fresh Garlic
A simple yet incredibly flavorful dish made with fresh, seasonal garlic. The roasted garlic becomes tender and wonderfully aromatic, perfect as an appetizer or a delicious side dish.
Ingredients- 150g whole fresh garlic cloves (about 15-20, depending on size)
- 30ml olive oil (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1 pinch coarse salt
- 5g fresh rosemary
- 5g fresh thyme
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your fresh garlic cloves. Gently peel off only the outer layer of the skin from the whole garlic bulbs. Be careful not to peel too much, as this can cause the garlic to break apart during cooking.
Step 2
Once the outer skin is removed, cut the larger, thicker garlic cloves in half. Smaller or medium-sized cloves can be left whole. Cutting them to a similar size will ensure they cook evenly.
Step 3
Place the prepared garlic in a bowl. Add the olive oil, coarse salt, and finely chopped fresh rosemary and thyme leaves. Gently toss everything together to coat the garlic evenly. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and deepen.
Step 4
Arrange the marinated garlic in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes. Flipping the garlic halfway through will help ensure even browning and tenderness. Adjust the cooking time based on the size of your garlic cloves and your specific air fryer model.
