Main Ingredients- 3 fresh eggs
- 1/4 stalk of green onion (about 1 section)
- 3 Tbsp savory perilla oil
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce for soup (Guk-ganjang)
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
These are made with very simple ingredients! Please check the ingredients listed above and prepare them.
Step 2
Wash the green onion thoroughly and then finely chop it. The fragrant green onion will add depth to the flavor of the fried eggs.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan and generously add 3 tablespoons of savory perilla oil, then add the chopped green onions. Now, adjust the heat to medium. The green onion aroma will rise as the perilla oil gently heats up.
Step 4
Carefully crack the 3 fresh eggs you prepared into the frying pan. It’s best to gently crack them to avoid breaking the yolks.
Step 5
The most important point when cooking fried eggs! Do not break the yolks. Maintain medium heat and slowly cook until the bottom of the egg is golden brown and crispy. You can adjust the doneness to your preference.
Step 6
While the eggs are cooking, prepare a wide plate. Pour 1 tablespoon of the flavorful soy sauce for soup onto the plate. You can pour the soy sauce directly over the eggs, but pouring it onto the plate beforehand makes it easier to control the amount and spread it evenly.
Step 7
Using a spoon, carefully drizzle the soy sauce from the plate over the fried eggs, spreading it around. The key is to let the soy sauce permeate the entire egg evenly.
Step 8
When the egg is transitioning from sunny-side up to fully cooked, just before it’s fully done, turn off the heat. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become dry. If you prefer a runny yolk, turn off the heat when it’s still sunny-side up.
Step 9
Finally, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds evenly over the fried eggs for added nuttiness. Your delicious perilla oil fried eggs are now complete! Enjoy them with a warm bowl of rice!
