Fresh Homemade Tomato Juice
Refreshing Homemade Tomato Juice
Experience the vibrant taste of homemade tomato juice! This recipe uses fresh tomatoes, a splash of milk for a smoother texture, and a touch of oligosaccharide for sweetness. It’s a wonderfully refreshing drink that’s easy to make and healthier than store-bought options. Perfect for a light breakfast or a revitalizing pick-me-up!
Main Ingredients- 3-4 ripe tomatoes (adjust quantity based on size)
- 100ml cold milk
- 5-6 ice cubes
Sweetener (Adjust to Taste)- 1-2 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or to taste)
- 1-2 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Lightly score the bottom of each tomato with an ‘X’ using a knife. Briefly blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for about 10-20 seconds. This will loosen the skins, making them easy to peel.
Step 2
Remove the tomatoes from the hot water and briefly immerse them in cold water to cool. Then, gently peel the skins, starting from the scored section. While you can leave the skins on, removing them results in a smoother, more refined juice.
Step 3
Once peeled, remove the core from the tomatoes. Chop them into large chunks (about 2-3cm), suitable for your blender. You can also remove the seeds at this stage if you prefer.
Step 4
Place the prepared tomatoes, cold milk, oligosaccharide for sweetness, and ice cubes into your blender jar. Adjust the amount of oligosaccharide based on the natural sweetness of the tomatoes and your personal preference.
Step 5
Secure the lid on the blender and blend for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the mixture is completely smooth and lump-free. You’ll know it’s ready when it has a uniform color and a slightly frothy top. Pour immediately and enjoy the fresh taste!
