Broth Ingredients- 1/5 Korean radish (approx. 200g)
- 20 dried anchovies (for broth)
- 3 pieces of dried kelp (about 5x5cm each)
- 1/5 Korean radish (approx. 200g)
- 20 dried anchovies (for broth)
- 3 pieces of dried kelp (about 5x5cm each)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your assorted fish cakes. Briefly blanch them in boiling water to remove any impurities and enhance their chewy texture. Cut them into bite-sized pieces or thread them onto skewers for a delightful presentation.
Step 2
In a pot, combine water with the Korean radish, kelp, and anchovies to create a flavorful broth. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, remove the kelp immediately to prevent bitterness. Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes, then remove the anchovies to obtain a clean and deep-flavored broth. (The radish will soften and flavor the broth as it simmers.)
Step 3
Add the prepared fish cakes (on skewers or cut) to the flavorful broth and simmer for a short while. This allows the fish cakes to absorb the delicious broth.
Step 4
Once the fish cakes are slightly cooked, add the frozen dumplings to the pot and continue to simmer. Be careful not to overcook the dumplings, which could cause them to burst.
Step 5
When the dumplings are cooked and all the ingredients have melded together, add the crown daisy for a fresh aroma and simmer briefly to finish. Adjust the seasoning with a little soy sauce if needed. Serve hot for the best experience!
