Ingredients

  • 1 bowl of cooked rice
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 stalk of green onion
  • 2 eggs

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch of MSG (optional)

Cooking Instructions

First, thinly slice 4 cloves of garlic. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat and sauté the sliced garlic. Be careful not to burn the garlic; stir-fry until it releases a nutty, fragrant aroma.

Once the garlic is golden brown and fragrant, add 1 pinch of salt and then immediately add 1 bowl of warm cooked rice. Break up any clumps of rice with a spatula and stir-fry it with the garlic. When the rice is somewhat fried, add 1 tablespoon of butter and stir-fry once more as it melts. The butter adds an extra layer of delicious flavor.

Pour 2 tablespoons of soy sauce along the sides of the pan. Let it sizzle and caramelize slightly to enhance the flavor.
