Main Ingredients

  • Curry Queen 1 pack (based on product’s recommended serving)
  • 1 potato (medium size)
  • 1/2 carrot (medium size)
  • 1.5 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 500ml water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the potatoes and carrots that will add richness to your curry. Wash 1 potato and 1/2 carrot thoroughly, then dice them into approximately 1.5cm cubes for easy eating. It’s best to keep them at a moderate size, as cutting them too small might cause them to break apart while cooking.

Step 1

Step 2

Heat 1.5 tablespoons of cooking oil in a wide pot or pan over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and carrots and sauté for about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn them. This sautéing step enhances the natural sweetness of the vegetables and deepens the curry’s flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Once the vegetables are lightly sautéed, pour in 500ml of water and add the fond de veau broth stick (or powder) included in the Curry Queen package. This broth will further enhance the umami of the curry. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low heat, cover, and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes and carrots are completely cooked and tender. They are ready when a fork easily pierces them.

Step 3

Step 4

When the vegetables are fully cooked, add the Curry Queen curry powder (or solid curry block) and stir gently until no lumps remain. It’s important to mix slowly over low heat to ensure the curry powder dissolves smoothly without clumping.

Step 4

Step 5

As the curry thickens and starts to become rich, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. Avoid overcooking, as it can become too salty or have a dry texture. Turn off the heat as soon as it reaches your desired consistency. Serve generously over warm rice and enjoy!
