Golden Ratio! Delicious Cheesy Corn (Corn Cheese) Recipe to Enjoy Generously at Home
Cheesy Corn
The perfect snack for beer or a delightful treat for kids, Cheesy Corn! If you’ve always wished for a larger portion, now is the time to make it generously at home with plenty of ingredients. This golden ratio recipe ensures anyone can succeed with ease.
Main Ingredients- 1 can of sweet corn (drained)
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional)
- Shredded mozzarella or pizza cheese (enough to cover the pan)
- 1 slice of processed cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, carefully prepare all the ingredients for making delicious Cheesy Corn. It’s crucial to drain the canned corn thoroughly using a sieve, as excess water can dilute the flavor.
Step 2
Place 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a heated pan. Let the butter melt slowly over medium-low heat until a rich, nutty aroma fills the air.
Step 3
Once the butter has melted sufficiently, add all the drained canned corn to the pan and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, mixing well with the butter. Coating the corn kernels with butter will enhance the flavor.
Step 4
After the corn has blended well with the butter, add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix thoroughly again. Ensure the mayonnaise is evenly spread over the corn kernels.
Step 5
If you wish to add an extra layer of savory flavor, stir in 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder according to your preference. A hint of spiciness can cut through richness and add a beautiful color. (You can omit this if you don’t like spicy food.)
Step 6
Stir everything together once more to ensure all ingredients are well combined. Make sure the corn is evenly coated with the mayonnaise and butter mixture.
Step 7
Once the corn mixture is well combined, it’s time to add the cheese. Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella or pizza cheese to cover the entire surface of the pan. Tear or cut the slice of processed cheese into small pieces and distribute them evenly over the top for an even richer taste.
Step 8
Now, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and heat until the cheese is completely melted and gooey. You’ll know it’s ready when the cheese is bubbling and a delicious aroma wafts up. (If your pan is oven-safe, you can also briefly bake it in the oven.)
Step 9
Once the cheese is fully melted and looks deliciously cooked, turn off the heat. If desired, sprinkle some parsley flakes over the top for a final touch. It tastes best when enjoyed immediately while warm. Enjoy your generously made Cheesy Corn!
