Main Ingredients
  • 1 serving Spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • A little sliced garlic (adjust to taste)
  • 60g Ground beef
  • 1/4 Onion (finely chopped)
  • Store-bought Tomato sauce (approx. 1 cup)
  • 70g Pizza cheese (Mozzarella recommended)
  • A little Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • A little Parsley (dried flakes)

Ground Beef Marinade
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Mirin (cooking wine)
  • A little Black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s marinate the ground beef to enhance its flavor. Place the ground beef in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, 1 tablespoon of mirin, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Mix everything together gently and let it marinate for about 10 minutes. This step helps to remove any gamey odors and tenderizes the meat.

Step 2

Now it’s time to cook the spaghetti. In a large pot, bring plenty of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and a couple of drops of olive oil to the boiling water. Adding a little oil helps prevent the pasta from sticking together. Add the spaghetti and cook for about 8 minutes, or 1-2 minutes less than the time recommended on the package. It’s important not to overcook it, as it will continue to cook in the oven. Once cooked, drain the pasta thoroughly in a colander.

Step 3

Heat a wide pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Gently cooking the garlic over medium-low heat will release its aromatic oils, infusing the dish with a wonderful aroma.

Step 4

Once the garlic is lightly golden, add the marinated ground beef. Break it up with your spoon and stir-fry until it’s mostly cooked through. Then, add the finely chopped onion and continue to sauté until the onion becomes translucent and tender. The sweetness from the onions will add another layer of flavor.

Step 5

Now, let’s create the delicious sauce. Pour in the store-bought tomato sauce over the cooked beef and onions. Stir gently to combine everything. Then, add the drained spaghetti to the pan and toss it lightly to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.

Step 6

For an extra depth of flavor, sprinkle in some grated Parmesan cheese and mix gently again. Once the Parmesan cheese is incorporated into the sauce and pasta, turn off the heat. Be careful not to overcook at this stage.

Step 7

Transfer the sauced spaghetti into an oven-safe dish. Scrape all the remaining sauce from the pan onto the pasta. Generously sprinkle your desired amount of pizza cheese over the top, followed by a dusting of dried parsley flakes for a beautiful finish. This not only looks great but also enhances the flavor.

Step 8

Now, it’s time to bake your delightful cheese oven spaghetti. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and bake for about 10 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the cheese is beautifully melted and golden brown, filling your kitchen with an irresistible aroma.

Step 9

Voila! Your mouthwatering cheese oven spaghetti is ready to be enjoyed. Twirl your fork into the steamy, cheesy pasta and savor every delicious bite!
