Main Ingredients- 150g Dried Shredded Squids (Sun Jinmichae or regular Jinmichae)

Step 1
Start by preparing your dried shredded squids. Sun Jinmichae (dried in the sun) offers a chewier texture, but regular Jinmichae works beautifully too. Measure out approximately 150g.
Step 2
Bring a steamer to a rolling boil. Place the dried shredded squids in the steamer and steam for about 2 minutes. This brief steaming will help soften the squids, making them more tender and receptive to the sauce.
Step 3
Carefully remove the steamed squids from the steamer and spread them out on a sieve or colander to cool slightly. Letting them cool down prevents them from becoming sticky or mushy when sauced.
Step 4
Once slightly cooled, cut the dried shredded squids into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 inches (5-7 cm) long. This makes them easier to handle and enjoy.
Step 5
Heat a non-stick pan over low heat. Add the 2 tablespoons of Spicy Multi-Sauce. The key here is to gently melt the sauce without boiling it vigorously. Stir it just until it becomes a smooth liquid consistency. Turn off the heat temporarily.
Step 6
Add the prepared dried shredded squids to the pan with the melted sauce.
Step 7
Turn the heat back on to very low. Gently toss and mix the squids with the sauce until they are evenly coated. The goal is to glaze the squids rather than stir-fry them vigorously. Continue mixing for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce clings to every strand.
Step 8
Transfer the beautifully glazed and delicious dried shredded squids stir-fry to a serving dish. A sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds will add a nice finishing touch!
