  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • Small amount of water (for simmering)
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • Small amount of soy sauce (for flavor enhancement)
  • Small amount of vinegar (for balancing acidity)
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

First, heat 3 Tbsp of cooking oil and 1.5 Tbsp of minced garlic in a pan over medium-low heat. Stir gently, allowing the garlic to turn a light golden brown without burning, to fully release its aroma.

Once the garlic is fragrant, add 1 cup of the prepared shrimp to the pan and stir-fry quickly over high heat. When the shrimp turns a vibrant pink, reduce the heat slightly and add 1 Tbsp of butter to enrich the flavor.

Finally, stir in 0.5 Tbsp of fish sauce and a pinch of black pepper. Mix everything quickly to create the aromatic and savory garlic shrimp. Remove from the pan and set aside.
