  • 1 fresh egg yolk

Seasoning & Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin or similar)
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 2 Tbsp store-bought steak sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp butter (for searing steak)
  • Pinch of black pepper (for steak seasoning)
  • A little olive oil (for searing steak)

Cooking Instructions

Begin by patting the steak dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This is crucial for a clean flavor without any gamey notes. Season both sides generously with black pepper.

Finely chop the scallions to be used as a garnish. Thinly slice the onion. If you prefer chives, chop them to a suitable size as well.
