Introducing an incredibly simple recipe for Ham, Cheese, and Cucumber Rolls that takes just 5 minutes to make, perfect to enjoy with a cold beer after work. The crispness of the cucumber combined with the savory ham and cheese creates a universally loved flavor. They’re also a fantastic snack option for kids!
Main Ingredients- 2 slices of ham
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 cucumber
Dipping Sauce- 2 Tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp mustard

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the cucumber thoroughly. Trim off both ends. Then, using a vegetable peeler, lightly peel the cucumber skin two or three times. This step helps reduce any potential bitterness and makes the cucumber more tender.

After peeling, you can use the cucumber whole as is. Alternatively, you can slice it thinly, but for these rolls, using it whole is perfectly fine.

Cut the 2 slices of cheddar cheese into approximately 3 equal portions each. This size is ideal for placing on the cucumber and will help hold everything together once rolled.

Similarly, cut the sliced ham into about 3 equal portions, matching the size of the cheese. I’ve used standard sandwich ham, but any type of ham will work wonderfully. Feel free to use whatever you have on hand!

Now, layer the cut cheddar cheese and ham slices onto the prepared cucumber. It’s often best to place the cheese first, then the ham on top, to prevent them from shifting too much when you roll.
Step 6
Gently roll the cucumber with the ham and cheese, starting from one end, just like making a sushi roll. Roll it tightly so the filling stays securely inside.

Once rolled, secure each cucumber roll with a toothpick or skewer. This prevents them from unrolling and keeps them neat for serving. You can then arrange them on a plate for an attractive appetizer!
