  • 1 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 0.5 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 0.3 Tbsp Brown Sugar (adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Begin by preparing all your ingredients. Wash and chop everything as needed. Having everything ready makes the cooking process smooth and enjoyable.

Step 1

Step 2

Pat the tofu block dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Slice it into pieces about 1cm thick and roughly 3x5cm in size. Lightly sprinkle a pinch of salt over the tofu slices to season them; this step enhances the flavor and texture.

Step 2

Step 3

For the white kimchi, gently remove the spicy filling and finely mince the kimchi. It’s crucial to squeeze out as much liquid as possible using your hands or a cheesecloth. Finely chop the onion as well. Slice the mini bell peppers and black olives into visually appealing shapes, like thin rounds.

Step 3

Step 4

Heat a little cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the seasoned tofu slices in the pan, ensuring they don’t overlap too much. Fry each side until they are golden brown and slightly firm. This step helps the tofu hold its shape as a pizza base.

Step 4

Step 5

In another pan, heat a small amount of cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent. Then, add the squeezed white kimchi and stir-fry for about 10 seconds. Now, add the gochujang, ketchup, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper according to the measurements. Stir everything together and cook for another 10 seconds until well combined. This creates your delicious white kimchi sauce for the pizza. Be careful not to overcook, as you don’t want the sauce to become too dry.

Step 5

Step 6

It’s time to assemble the pizzas! Reduce the heat to low. Add a little cooking oil to the pan where you fried the tofu, and arrange the fried tofu slices, slightly overlapping if needed. Spread a generous layer of the prepared white kimchi sauce over the tofu. Arrange the sliced bell peppers and black olives artistically on top. Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over everything.

Step 6

Step 7

Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on very low heat for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, just until the mozzarella cheese is fully melted and slightly bubbly. Your healthy tofu pizza is ready! Serve immediately while warm for the best taste experience.
