Ingredients

  • Babori Cooksy Goat Milk Barley Pasta Noodles, 250g
  • Milk, 100ml
  • Heavy Cream, 100ml
  • Spaghetti Sauce, to taste
  • Shrimp, 6 pcs
  • Red Pepper Flakes (Peperoncino), 2-3 pcs
  • Butter, 15g
  • Minced Garlic, 1 Tbsp
  • Onion, 1/4 pc
  • Olive Oil, 1/2 Tbsp
  • Pasta Water (reserved from cooking)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Take the frozen Babori Cooksy Goat Milk Barley Pasta Noodles and place them in a bowl of water without opening the vacuum-sealed package. Let them thaw for about 30 minutes in cold water. This method helps maintain the noodles’ delightful chewiness.

Step 1

Step 2

Finely dice the onion. Aim for uniform pieces so they cook evenly with the pasta and sauce.

Step 2

Step 3

In a pan, melt the butter with olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden. Then, add the shrimp and red pepper flakes, stir-frying briefly until the shrimp are almost cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add the diced onion and sauté until softened and translucent, bringing out its natural sweetness.

Step 3

Step 4

Pour the milk and heavy cream into the pan with the sautéed onions. Add a desired amount of spaghetti sauce. Stir well to combine all the ingredients, creating a smooth rosé sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of paprika powder to taste. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add a little reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.

Step 4

Step 5

Bring a pot of generously salted water to a rolling boil. Add the thawed barley pasta noodles and cook over medium heat according to your desired texture. * For al dente (slightly firm): 3-4 minutes * For fully cooked: 5 minutes

Step 5

Step 6

Once the barley pasta noodles are cooked to your liking, drain them and quickly rinse under cold running water. This step helps to firm up the noodles and prevents them from becoming mushy, ensuring a pleasant bite.

Step 6

Step 7

Add the rinsed barley pasta noodles and the reserved cooked shrimp to the rosé sauce in the pan. Gently toss and sauté for about 2 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb the delicious sauce. Ensure the sauce coats the noodles evenly.

Step 7

Step 8

Plate the finished rosé pasta beautifully. Garnish with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of grated cheese if desired for an extra touch of flavor and visual appeal. Enjoy your healthy and delicious meal!
